There are lots of great events for families and kids of all ages at the library this month. Check them out!<\/p>\n

\"\"Every Picture Tells a Story art workshop<\/a> for grades 1-5, Saturday, January 8, 11:00-12:00
\n<\/strong>Discover the work of great artists through stories and hands-on art activities. Learn about a famous artist, their technique, and make a work of art all your own using that same method.\u00a0 You don\u2019t have to be a great artist yourself, just bring your creative spirit and have fun!\u00a0 We will be looking at the work of Andy Warhol this session. This event is open to those in grades 1-5. All materials are provided.\u00a0\u00a0 No registration is required. All participants must wear a mask. This event is sponsored by Friends of the Library.<\/p>\n

D&D One Shot<\/a> for grades 6 \u2013 12, Monday, January 10, 6:00-7:30pm
\n<\/strong>We provide all that you need for this Dungeons and Dragons one-shot adventure, pre-rolled characters, dice set, and mini manual printout to use at the session.\u00a0 No registration is required.\u00a0 Masks are a must!\u00a0 Join the adventure. This event will be held in the Youth Services department on the 2nd floor of the Library.<\/p>\n

\"TheVirtual Writing Workshop with Nocturnals <\/em>series author Tracey Hecht<\/a> for grades 1 and up, <\/strong>Wednesday, January 12, 4:30-5:30pm
\n<\/strong>Tracey Hecht is the author of the popular chapter book series The Nocturnals<\/em>.<\/strong>\u00a0 Ms. Hecht will be tuning in through Google Meet to treat kids to a special writing workshop. Learn about the creative writing process, how a book is published, and how to create your very own story!\u00a0 Interact with this experienced writer.\u00a0 She will give an informative Q & A session and answer your writing questions.\u00a0 We will be hosting the event virtually & in -person in the Youth Services department on the 2nd floor of the library. World Stories<\/a> for ages 3 \u2013 8 presented by Moravian University at the Main Library\u00a0\u00a0 Saturday, January 15, 10:30-11:30am
\n<\/strong>Listen to a story read in both English and the featured language. Learn about a different world language and culture each session. This session will feature a story read in Greek. A fun activity will follow the dual language reading. Come explore with us. This event will be held in the Youth Services Department on the 2nd floor. No registration is required. Masks are a must.<\/p>\n

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament<\/a> for grades 6 \u2013 12, Saturday, January 15, 1:00-4:00pm
\n<\/strong>It\u2019s tournament time! We\u2019re playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Switch. Controllers are provided or bring your own Switch controller. Pre-register for this event by calling the Youth Department at 610-867-3761, x. 499 to reserve your space, or register at the door of the event \u2013 space allowing. All participants must wear a mask!<\/p>\n

\"\"Family Fun Night: National Popcorn Day<\/a> for all ages at the Main Library, Tuesday, January 18, 6:30-7:30pm
\n<\/strong>Celebrate popcorn, the perfect snack loved by millions. Pop on in for stories, a bit of history, and a chance to mix up some special toppings for your popcorn. We\u2019ll be making popcorn art, too.\u00a0 No registration is required.\u00a0 Masks are a must. Free parking is available in the garage beneath the Library\/City Hall complex.<\/p>\n

Family Storytime – all ages of youth, Tuesdays, January 18 & 25, 10:00-10:30am

Toddler Storytime \u2013 ages 2 \u2013 3 \u00bd, Fridays, January 21 & 28, 10:00-10:45am
\n<\/strong>Join us for stories and songs just right for you and your toddler. Have fun while we discover and learn new things. No registration is required.\u00a0 Masks are a must for ages 2+.\u00a0 This story session will be held in the Youth Department on the 2nd floor of the Library.<\/p>\n

Magic Treehouse series event<\/a> for grades 1 and up, Saturday, January 22, 2:00-3:00pm
\n<\/strong>Travel with Jack and Annie to different times and locations. Hear a bit of the newest book, test your knowledge with trivia, and make some special Jack and Annie crafts.\u00a0 No registration is required. Masks are a must! Free, limited parking is available in the garage beneath the Library\/City Hall complex.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Anime Club for grades 6 \u2013 12, Monday, January 24, 6:30-7:30pm
\n<\/strong>Learn about Japanese culture and watch an episode of anime. Share your love of anime with other fans.\u00a0 Masks are a must for those who attend. No registration is required. This event will be held in the Youth Department.<\/p>\n

Homework Help<\/a> \u2013 tutoring for grades K \u2013 12, Monday \u2013 Thursday, 4:00-6:00pm, beginning January 24
\n<\/strong>Looking for help with your schoolwork? Moravian University America Reads<\/em> program provides tutors to help with questions about school assignments.\u00a0 Get the help you need today! No registration is required.\u00a0 We will follow social distancing guidelines and masks are a must. This session will be held in the Youth department on the 2nd floor of the Library.<\/p>\n

\"\"Comic Club<\/a> for grades 3 \u2013 6, January 25, 6:30-7:30pm
\n<\/strong>Love reading comic books or graphic novels? Stop by tonight to meet other comic fans! We\u2019ll talk about what\u2019s awesome about comics and share our favorites over yummy snacks. We\u2019ll also learn to doodle pages from our comics, supplies are provided. Stop by and get comic recommendations! Please wear a mask. This event will be held in the Youth Department.<\/p>\n

Baby Storytime \u2013 birth through 24 months, Thursday, January 27, 10:00-10:30am

National Puzzle Day<\/a> event for youth of all ages, Saturday, January 29, 11:00am-12pm
